Darius Adamczyk Promoted to President, COO at Honeywell in Set of Transitions


HoneywellLogoDarius Adamczyk, a former business unit chief executive at Honeywell (NYSE:HON), has been appointed to the newly-created president and chief operating officer role where he will report to Chairman and CEO Dave Cote and have responsibility over all of the global conglomerate’s operating units.

The company said Monday Rajeev Gautam will succeed Adamczyk as president and CEO of performance materials and technologies, while Rebecca Liebert will replace Gautam as president of Honeywell UOP.P.

“Darius’ experience in both small and large businesses has positioned him well to merge the best parts of both to effectively drive HOS Gold, ” Cote said.

“From the small business, he gained an entrepreneurial mindset along with the importance of being agile and lean in decision making and responding quickly to changing market conditions.”

Adamczyk joined Honeywell in 2008 upon its acquisition of Metrologic, where he served as CEO.

He started his career at General Electric (NYSE: GE) as an electrical engineer, is a former senior associate from Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and held leadership roles at Ingersoll Rand.
