Boeing, Lockheed Submit Bids on Air Force’s GPS III Program

GPS IIITYSONS CORNER, VA, April 14, 2016 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) have joined Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) as bidders on the U.S. Air Force‘s procurement program for future GPS III satellites, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Aviation Week reported Tuesday Lockheed submitted a proposal that includes a Harris-built (NYSE: HRS) digital payload, while Boeing proposed gallium nitride-based components.
