TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 24, 2016 — A Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) subsidiary has received a task order under the potential $262 million Transformation Twenty One Total Technology contract to provide claims processing support to the Department of Veterans Affairs, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Systems Made Simple will provide a repository to help accelerate the processing time for disability claims and convert paper documents into electronic format, Lockheed said March 17.

“Improving service to the nearly four million U.S. veterans who receive compensation and payment benefits through VA requires a robust system that promises scalability, efficiency and security, ” noted Horace Blackman, vice president for health and life sciences at Lockheed’s information systems and global solutions business.
