Frank Wiercinski, formerlyÂ a group vice president atÂ Lockheed MartinÂ (NYSE: LMT) and a retiredÂ U.S. ArmyÂ lieutenant general, has joined CubicÂ (NYSE: CUB) as senior VP and managing director of its global defense segment’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
HeÂ will manage the segment’s customer base in the APAC region and expansion strategyÂ in theÂ C4ISR and integrated training services markets, Cubic said Thursday.
“With Frank’s extensive expertise and keen understanding of the rich blend of cultures in the Asia-Pacific region, we look forward to reinforcing and expanding our operations to serve our customers even better, ” saidÂ Bill Toti, president ofÂ Cubic’s global defense segment and a 2016 Wash100 recipient.
Wiercinski most recently served as VP of Army and special operations forces programs at Lockheed’s government affairs business as well as supported global business development functions of the company.
He commandedÂ the U.S. Army Pacific before his 2013 retirement after 34 years in the military.
Mike Kelly, formerlyÂ SVPÂ of business development and international programs inÂ global defense, will serve asÂ SVP and managing director of the segment’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
The 14-year company veteran also previouslyÂ held the roles ofÂ corporate VP andÂ and chief of staff at Cubic, SVP of strategy and development for the mission support services unitÂ and VPÂ of business development and strategy for itsÂ defense applications businessÂ in the MEA region.
BeforeÂ Cubic, Kelly served as general manager ofÂ Science Applications International Corp.‘s (NYSE: SAIC) joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
