Army Awards Oshkosh $433M in Heavy Tactical Vehicle Contract Modifications


Military-vehicleOshkosh Corp. (NYSE: OSK) has received three contract modifications worth a combined $433 million to provide heavy-duty vehicles for U.S. Army tactical operations.

The Defense Department said Monday work under the contract modifications are scheduled to finish Nov. 30, 2017,  and the Army will use fiscal 2016 other procurement funds to cover the full obligated amounts.

The first contract, worth $197.2 million, covers work on M985A4, M984A4, M978A4, M983A4 and M1120A4 heavy expanded mobility tactical trucks and M984A4 HEMTT self-recovery winches.

Oshkosh will deliver $135.6 million in M1074A1 and M1075A1 palletized load systems and M1076A0 PLS trailers to the military branch through a second contract.

The third contract is worth $100.4 million and calls for the company to convert M1074A0 PLS trucks into M1075A1 configuration for heavy tactical vehicles.
