Tony Frazier: DigitalGlobe Combines Deep Learning, Crowdsourcing to Process Satellite Images

TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 22, 2016 — Tony Frazier, senior vice president of government solutions at DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI), has said the company uses deep-learning and crowdsourcing tools to analyze satellite imagery, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

GCN reported Wednesday that Frazier has pointed to MrGeo,  NVIDIA graphics processors, the OpenCV software library and Caffe deep learning framework among the tools that help DigitalGlobe identify objects and events across the large volumes of collected imagery.
