TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 17, 2016 — Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, senior vice president for U.S. government strategy and policy at Inmarsat, has said “satcom as a service” can help the military drive value from satellite communications technology, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Cowen-Hirsch wrote in a blog entry posted Tuesday that the model works to support satcom mission assurance, interoperability, performance and coverage.

“It is also an age of opportunity to push satcom innovation to extraordinary levels of performance, as industry leaders work with government agencies to augment milsatcom with ideal coverage, capabilities, reliability, capacity, resiliency and security, ” she said.
