ASRC Federal, Boeing to Research Rocket Engine Tech for Air Force


rocket launchTYSONS CORNER, VA, January 28, 2016 — ASRC Federal and Boeing (NYSE: BA) will perform research on new rocket engine technologies under separate contracts awarded by the U.S. Air Force,  ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Space News reported Tuesday the service branch gave a $6.1 million contract to Boeing and a $3.6 million contract to ASRC Federal to support efforts to end U.S. reliance on the Russia-made RD–180 engine.
