TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 7, 2015 — SAP National Security Services‘ (NYSE: SAP) venture capital arm led the $16 million funding round for threat intelligence firm ThreatConnect, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The Washington Post reported Wednesday threat intelligence companies have attracted the attention of investors in effort to address the anticipated need for an automated real-time cyber threat database.

Mark Testoni, president and CEO of SAP NS2, said the company employs a “longer-term view” as a venture capital investor in cybersecurity.
