TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 22, 2015 — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) CIO Bob Fecteau believes standardization can help CIO efforts in enterprise resource management to drive the business, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

“Running IT as a business is an MBA-level skill and it must be managed in a cohesive, constructive and precise way, ” Fecteau wrote in a guest piece published Dec. 15 on The Enterprisers Project.

He said the lack of standardized practices in the CIO discipline and the creation of other C-level positions that have overlapping duties with CIOs lead to challenges in their efforts to support the business.
