
Renee James, formerly president of Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC), has been elected to Oracleâs (NYSE: ORCL) board of directors.
James most recently led Intel’s venture into the open source software for enterprise, security and cloud applications, Oracle said Wednesday.
“She will bring a unique perspective and tremendous depth of experience and knowledge of the technology industry to our board, ” said Larry Ellison, chairman of the board of directors and chief technology officer at Oracle.
James is also the vice chair of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee and a director at Vodafone (Nasdaq: VOD) and Sabre (Nasdaq: SABR).
She previously served as a director at VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW).
