Air Force Eyes Purchase of 100 Bomber Planes From Northrop Grumman

long range bomberTYSONS CORNER, VA, December 4, 2015 — The U.S. Air Force could purchase approximately 100 Long Range Strike Bombers from Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) based on recent comments by Sec. Deborah Lee James, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Defense News reported Wednesday the potential purchase is in line with the set ceiling for the multi-year program, which is currently under protest by Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
