Jeffrey LeSage: KPMG Buys G2 FinTech’s Tax Mgmt Software Portfolio

acquisition, mergerKPMG has acquired tax analysis and compliance technology assets and related intellectual property rights from G2 FinTech in a push to help clients in the investment management sector to comply with U.S. tax regulations.

The deal gives KPMG access to G2’s flagship platform TaxGopher and a majority of development professionals at G2 will move to KPMG’s tax transformation and technology practice, the professional services company said Monday.

Jeffrey LeSage, KPMG vice chairman of tax operations, said the companies seek to integrate their tax management technologies into a single web-based platform.

New York-based KPMG developed its LINK PartnerTrack tool with the goal of making it easier for hedge funds to file and report partnership tax returns.
