General Dynamics Lands $103M Contract Modification for Virginia-Class Subs Work


general dynamics logoA General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary will perform development studies and provide design and lead yard services for the U.S. Navy‘s Virginia-class submarines under a $102.9 million contract modification.

The Defense Department said Tuesday Electric Boat Corp. will work to support maintenance, technology insertion, research and development and design improvements related to the submarines.

The company will perform work in Connecticut and Rhode Island through April 2016, DoD added.

The obligated amount at the time of award is $61.9 million.
