CSC Cloud Tech Built on Red Hat OpenShift Gets FedRAMP Certification; Paul Smith Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 18,  2015 — Computer Sciences Corp.‘s (NYSE: CSC) ARCWRX cloud computing technology, which is built on Red Hat‘s (NYSE: RHT) OpenShift, has received certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, ExecutiveBiz reported Nov. 11.

The company said Nov. 10 Veris Group evaluated ARCWRX against FedRAMP’s moderate security control baseline and awarded the Joint Authorization Board provisional authority to operate for the technology.

“Achieving FedRAMP moderate JAB authorization for ARCWRX demonstrates [our] commitment and the power of collaboration with CSC to further drive value for our public sector customers, ” said Paul Smith, general manager and vice president of public sector at Red Hat.
