Army Taps Kiewit-Turner JV for $571M VA Medical Facility Construction Contract

constructionA joint venture of Kiewit and Turner Construction has won a potential three-year, $570.7 million contract from the U.S. Army to finish the construction of a replacement medical facility for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Eastern Colorado Health Care System.

The JV will perform contract work in Aurora, Colorado, through Jan. 23, 2018, the Defense Department said Friday.

The Army Corps of Engineers will obligate the full contract amount from the service branch’s other fiscal 2016 funds at the time of award, according to DoD.
