US Navy Awards $49M Sensors Contract to Three Firms

electronicsConsolidated Resource Imaging LLC,  Manufacturing Techniques Inc. and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) have each received a $49 million contract combined to build sensor prototypes for the U.S. Navy.

The companies will produce sensor systems for use in the Navy’s intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and force protection operations, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Performance of work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur at the facilities of each contract, with an estimated completion date of October 2020.
