Tony Frazier: DigitalGlobe Taps into Crowdsourced GEOINT with GeoHIVE Community

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 7,  2015 — Tony Frazier, government solutions senior vice president at DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI), has introduced the creation of GeoHIVE, an online community designed to tap into the power of crowdsourced geospatial intelligence for federal clients, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

DigitalGlobe said Oct. 1 membership is open to all U.S. citizen volunteers, who will be paid to take part in campaigns to analyze satellite imagery for validation or monitoring of points of interest.

“GeoHIVE community members will receive virtual coaching from geospatial experts from DigitalGlobe Intelligence Solutions supporting critical analytic missions across the military and first responder community, ” Frazier said.

“Ultimately I see this as a terrific way to onboard new talent into our industry.”
