TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 22,  2015 — Chris Sullivan, chief information officer at Serco Inc., sat down with ExecutiveBiz to discuss the role of technology in the business strategy of Serco Group’s U.S. subsidiary.

“It is not realistic or practical to go and invest resources in the latest technology if it does nothing to support our business strategy, ” he told EBiz in the exclusive interview posted Wednesday.

“If we have a business strategy to make a heavy push into the business process management space then I’ll be sure to have an aligned IT plan that revolves around establishing a technology platform that would support the business process management tools.”

Sullivan stressed IT’s importance as a growth enabler for CIOs, and noted increased contractor competition as one of the toughest challenges in industry he has seen to date.
