
Sanjay Sardar, former chief information officer at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, has been appointed vice president and service line director for data science at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC).
SAIC said Thursday Sardar will be based at its headquarters in McLean, Virginia and oversee data science strategy development and communication efforts as well as career development initiatives for the company.
âSanjay brings a wealth of experience in using data to solve tough problems coupled with deep insight into how U.S. government organizations can benefit from data science, â said Charles Onstott, vice president of cyber, cloud and data science at SAIC.
Sardar has spent five years as a senior program manager at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and four years as a practice manager for data warehousing and business intelligence at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL).
He previously served on the boards of directors of the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council and Small Agency CIO Council.
