Orbital ATK Cygnus Cargo Spacecraft Ready for Final Assembly

Orbital ATKTYSONS CORNER, VA, October 14,  2015 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has finished building the service module to be integrated into NASA’s Cygnus OA-4 cargo spacecraft at the Kennedy Space Center, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The module contains the avionics, communication, electrical and propulsion systems needed for the spacecraft’s planned end-of-year launch.

Frank Culbertson, president of Orbital ATK’s space systems group, said Monday reaching the milestone means his team remains on track with its Commercial Resupply Services contract with the space agency.
