Northrop to Retrofit, Maintain US Air Force’s Global Hawk Drones Under $3B Contract


northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a $3.2 billion contract to update and sustain all variants of the U.S. Air Force Global Hawk unmanned aerial systems.

The company will perform program management, engineering, configuration and technical modernization efforts to support development of the drones, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

Northrop will perform work in San Diego, California, through Sept. 30, 2025, under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Global Hawk is designed for use in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
