Northrop Marks Production Milestone for F-35 Center Fuselage


F35TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 7,  2015 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has completed the AX-5 center fuselage for the first F-35 Lightning II aircraft to be assembled in Japan, a production milestone celebrated in a Oct. 2 ceremony attended by officials from the Japanese government, Northrop and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).

The fuselage is the first of 42 orders to roll out from the company’s Palmdale facility for integration into Japanese F-35As, Northrop said Sunday.
