NASA EPIC Earth Pictures Come Online

EarthTYSONS CORNER, VA, October 21,  2015 — NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera built by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has come online to provide daily images of the Earth through a new agency-maintained website, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

NASA said the website’s search feature can look by date or continent into archives of pictures taken from the four-megapixel CCD camera-telescope.

EPIC is one of several Earth-observing instruments mounted on the DSCOVR spacecraft situated one million miles away in space.
