Iron Mountain to Open Federal Records Storage Space in Sterling

Iron Mountain logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, October 9,  2015 — Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) will open a new 500, 000-cubic-foot storage facility for government records management in Sterling, Virginia, on Oct. 13, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Leases for storage space will be offered to federal agencies looking to comply with federal policies that mandate footprint reduction by 2016, Iron Mountain said Wednesday.

“Finding a partner who can provide compliant offsite storage can help relieve the pain of shrinking space and rising regulatory requirements for information management, ” said Ernest Cloutier, executive vice president for Iron Mountain’s U.S. federal, security and legal business group.

“It can also allow federal agencies to take advantage of additional features and services they can’t easily provide on their own such as customizable storage and ‘build to suit’ compliant facilities.”
