David Morton Jr., formerly senior vice president for finance at Seagate Technology (Nasdaq: STX), has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer at the company.
“Dave has been a meaningful contributor at Seagate for the last 20 years and has significant experience in supporting our business model and the financial governance of our operations, ” said Luczo.
Morton also previously served as treasurer and principal accounting officer of Seagate, where he has worked since 1995.
He has held other leadership roles within the company’s global finance organization and has overseen corporate financial planning, manufacturing, pricing and sales operations.
Former Seagate CFO Patrick O’Malley will remain with the company as an EVP.
