ULA to Provide FY 2016 EELV Services Under $882M Contract


rocket-launchUnited Launch Alliance will provide Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle services for the U.S. Air Force‘s Delta IV and Atlas V rockets in fiscal year 2016 under an $882.1 million contract modification.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) joint venture will provide mission integration, base and range support, launch infrastructure maintenance and sustainment, rocket depreciation and other services.

ULA will perform work at Vandenberg Air Force Base,  Cape Canaveral Air Station and its facility in Colorado through the end of September 2016.

The obligated amount of $301.9 million at the time of award is from fiscal 2015 missile procurement funds, DoD added.
