Navy Orders Raytheon Anti-Submarine Airborne Sensors


Raytheon logoTYSONS CORNER, VA September 3, 2015 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a potential $98 million contract to supply AN/AQS-22 airborne low frequency sonar systems to the U.S. and allied navies, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Raytheon said it has produced 130 anti-submarine ALFS since 2002.

The ALFS sense and detect platform is integrated into the U.S. Navy’s MH-60R helicopter and MK 45 torpedo.
