Raytheon Awarded $100M Miniature Air Launched Decoy Production Support Contract

Raytheon logoRaytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) missile systems business has received a potential five-year, $100 million contract to support the production of Miniature Air Launched Decoy systems for the U.S. Air Force.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers logistics, sustainment, integration, system upgrades and management support services for MALD, the Defense Department said Thursday.

MALD is a programmable flight vehicle that works to disrupt and neutralize an adversary’s air defense platforms.

The company will perform work in Tucson, Arizona through Sept. 30, 2020.
