Northrop Picks Kitron for F-35 Avionics Subassemblies


alliance-partnership-connectTYSONS CORNER, VA September 22, 2015 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has selected Kitron SA of Norway as its supplier of electronic components for the Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) F-35 fighter aircraft’s communications, navigations and identification platform, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

Northrop said the cooperative agreement has an ordering period through June 2036 and includes options for future work.

“Northrop Grumman is committed to developing a cost-effective and technically superior source that would provide the best value for the F-35 CNI program, ” said Jeannie Hilger, vice president for network communication systems at Northrop Grumman Information Systems.

“We established a cooperative, supportive relationship with Kitron and forged this agreement to formalize our partnership.”
