The U.S. Navy has awarded a $28 million modification to five small businesses to exercise the first option on a previously awarded contract for worldwide ocean engineering services.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the exercised option brings the total contract value to $56 million.
DoD named the following vendors on the contract:
- Truston Technologies
- Sound & Sea Technology
- GPA Technologies
- MAR Range Services
The companies will provide support for ocean work system and ocean cable system projects as well as ocean construction equipment, moorings, waterfront facilities and offshore structures at Navy and U.S. Marine Corps facilities through September 2016.
DoD said future task orders will receive funds from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 working capital budget.
