The cost-plus-incentive-fee contract also covers simulators, supply chain management, software and hardware upgrades related to autonomic logistics data systems and engineering services for the joint strike fighter jets, the Defense Department said Monday.
The fixed-price-incentive-firm contract is comprised of orders from the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, non-Pentagon participants and foreign military customers for the fighter planes.
Lockheed will perform work through January 2022 in Florida, Texas, California, New York, South Carolina and the U.K.
The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the full contract amount at the time of award from fiscal 2013 through 2015 aircraft procurement and foreign military sales funds.
