FAA OKs MTSI as Commercial Drone Operator

MTSI w borderTYSONS CORNER, VA September 30, 2015 — Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: MTSI) has been granted Federal Aviation Administration approval to operate its C-ASTRAL Bramor rTK commercial unmanned aerial system to fly up to 200 feet over land in U.S. civilian airspace, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

MTSI said Monday the drone is equipped with digital cameras for mapping and surveying, and operates up to two-and-a-half hours at a time, with possible future iterations to include a cloud-accessible function for its terabytes of imagery data.
