DHS Taps Boeing ‘Brain Chip’ for Mobile Security Project


mobile-securityTYSONS CORNER, VA September 24, 2015 — The Department of Homeland Security has tapped Boeing (NYSE: BA) to develop a neuromorphic computer chip for mobile phone security and access control, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Nextgov said Tuesday Boeing and HRL Laboratories will test the chip’s gait recognition capability under the $2.2 million research project.
