Boeing announce Thursday the opening of its 104, 000 square foot research and technology center in South Carolina.
The state-of-the-art center will focus on research and development in advanced manufacturing of composite fuselage and propulsion systems.
Local dignitaries joined Boeing executives John Tracy, Boeing chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering, operations and technology; Lane Ballard, leader of the new Boeing South Carolina center; and Beverly Wyse, vice president and general manager of Boeing South Carolina.
Boeing executives commented that the new research center will advance Boeing’s ability to provide new technology quicker and furthers their commitment to South Carolina.
