ASRC Federal to Help Air Force Operate Military Satcom Terminals; Mark Gray Comments

The U.S. Air Force Space Command has awarded ASRC Federal a five-year, $40 million contract to  provide 24/7 support for the Defense Satellite Communications System and Milstar satellite ground stations.

The company’s technical services unit will also help AFSC’s 50th Space Wing run Global Broadcast Service enterprise computing facilities at Tinker AF Base in Oklahoma under the firm-fixed-price contract, ASRC Federal said Wednesday.

ASRC Federal president and CEO Mark Gray, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015, said the company uses its National Security Space framework to support satellite communications and information assurance and safety programs.

The 50th Space Wing helps the Defense Department manage the data and communications infrastructure for more than 170 military satellites.
