8 Win DHS Mobile Security R&D Project


mobile-securityTYSONS CORNER, VA September 11, 2015 — ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday on the Department of Homeland Security awarding research contracts worth $10.4 million in total to help improve mobile devices in the federal workplace.

HRL Laboratories, Kryptowire, Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and the United Technologies Research Center will work on the R&D project in the area of mobile instrumentation, DHS said Sept. 3.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) Research and the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, will lead the research in next-generation mobile security management tools.
