Walsh Gilbane JV Gets $206M Army Replacement Lab Construction Contract

ContractChicago-based nonresidential construction firm Walsh Gilbane JV has been awarded a potential four-year, $206 million contract to build a replacement laboratory for the U.S. Army.

The service branch received five proposals for the firm-fixed-price contract with options via the Internet, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Walsh Gilbane JV will carry out work at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland through Jan. 10, 2019.

The Army Corps of Engineers is obligating the full amount from fiscal 2011 and fiscal 2014 military construction funds at the time of award.
