US Army Awards $501M Medical Research Contract to Four Firms

BiomedicalNIHLeidos (NYSE: LDOS), Vaccine Co., PPD Development LP and TASC have won a $501 million contract to perform medical research for the U.S. Army.

The Defense Department said Friday that the companies will receive orders to carry out the task through July 30, 2020.

The Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity received nine bids for the contract via an Internet solicitation.
