Skip Magness Named Northrop Cyber Division Operations VP; Shawn Purvis Comments

Skip Magness, formerly network defense and intelligence operations director for Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) cyber division, has been named operations vice president for the company’s cyber division within the information systems sector.

He will report to cyber division VP and general manager Shawn Purvis and be responsible for coordinating and executing the division’s internal operations, Northrop Grumman said Monday.

“He is a proven business leader and we will look to his expertise to optimize our operations, utilizing his breadth of experience across our different mission areas and customer domains, ” said Purvis.

Magness most recently oversaw Northrop’s cyber services delivery to federal government customers.

Prior to joining the company, he served as a systems engineer for the National Security Agency’s research and engineering organization.
