Launch Date Set For 3rd Inmarsat Global Xpress Satellite


inmarsat logoTYSONS CORNER, VA August 19, 2015 — Inmarsat has set Aug. 28 as the launch date for the Inmarsat-5 F3 satellite, designed to provide mobile broadband coverage in the Pacific Ocean region as part of the company’s Global Xpress constellation of satellites, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

I-5 F3, to be carried into orbit onboard a Proton rocket, completes the GX network scheduled to go online by yearend, Inmarsat said Monday.
