Kevin Davis Named Public Sector Business VP at Splunk

Kevin Davis, formerly acting vice president of the public sector business at Splunk (Nasdaq: SPLK), has been promoted to the VP role on a full-time basis.

Davis, who brings more than two decades of sales experience to his role, was area vice president of federal sales when he joined the software company in October 2014, Splunk said Monday.

He spent nearly a decade at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) and previously served as vice president of sales for the Defense Department at that company.

He has also held sales leadership positions at Borland Software and Macromedia.
