Nicolas Schuck, formerly assistant controller at the Newport News Shipbuilding division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII), has been promoted to the roles of controller and chief accounting officer at the aircraft carrier constructor.

Huntington Ingalls said Thursday Schuck will be responsible for functions related to SEC reports, taxation, benefits accounting, government financial relations and compliance with import, export and international trade regulations.

“Nicolas has been an important member of our financial team and brings a great sense of enthusiasm, commitment, financial acumen and a wealth of experience to his new role, ” said Barbara Niland, corporate vice president of business management and chief financial officer at Huntington Ingalls.

Schuck will report directly to Niland for his new position.
