HII Plans Final Steam Test for USS Lincoln Under RCOH Program


USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72TYSONS CORNER, VA August 31, 2015 — Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) will evaluate the steam-powered components installed on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) as part of final tests on an aircraft carrier under a refueling and complex overhaul program, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

HII division Newport News Shipbuilding officials said the Nimitz-class carrier has undergone technology upgrades since its midlife RCOH began in March 2013.

HHI expects Lincoln to return to the U.S. Navy fleet and resume service next year.
