Eric Wieman Joins A-TEK as COO, EVP; Kathryn Freeland Comments

Eric Wieman, formerly senior vice president and general manager of the civil sector at STG, has joined Maryland-based information technology contractor A-TEK as chief operating officer and executive VP.

Wieman will collaborate with A-TEK CEO Kathryn Freeland in tactical and policy framework implementation, A-TEK said Monday.

He will also oversee corporate development, operations management and the integration of growth initiatives with A-TEK’s business units.

Freeland said Wieman brings experience in strategy development, business development, corporate operations, client relationship management, and organizational and performance improvement programs to STG.

Prior to STG, he served as director of service delivery at Accelera Solutions. and is also a former EVP and general manager of Dell‘s federal government services business.

His career also includes leadership roles at Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).

The two-decade U.S. Navy reserve veteran retired from service in 2006 with the rank of captain.
