Army Renews BAE Rocket Propellant Grains Contract


MK 70 propellant grainTYSONS CORNER, VA August 24, 2015 — BAE Systems will continue to produce propulsion components for the U.S. Army’s Hydra 70 rockets from 2016 to 2017 under a $50 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

BAE said Thursday it has been making Mk 90 propellant grains for the Defense Department at Radford Army Ammunition Plant since 2012.
