PAE-BWXT JV Awarded $1.2B NASA Facility Support Services Contract


Space Launch SystemA joint venture of PAE and BWXT has been awarded a potential $1.2 billion contract to help NASA run and maintain the agency’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans and Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.

NASA said Friday Syncom Space Services will also provide testing and manufacturing services at both facilities.

S3 begins the one-year base period of performance on Oct. 1.

The Synergy-Achieving Consolidated Operations and Maintenance contract also includes seven option periods that could extend the project up to nine years and five months.
