Neal Creighton: CounterTack Buys ManTech Commercial Cyber Division in Endpoint Security Push


CybersecurityCounterTack moved to grow its endpoint threat detection and response technology offerings with the acquisition of ManTech International‘s (Nasdaq: MANT) commercial sector-focused cybersecurity software division – ManTech Cyber Solutions International.

ManTech will own an equity stake in CounterTack and be the endpoint security company’s global distribution partner as part of the agreement, CounterTack said Wednesday.

Neal Creighton, CounterTack president and CEO, said the company seeks to offer an integrated platform for real-time operating system surveillance and in-memory threat analysis to customers.

The company developed the EDR tools Sentinel, Active Defense, Responder Pro and Digital DNA.

Bill Varner, president of ManTech’s mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group, will serve as a board observer at CounterTack.

Waltham, Massachusetts-based CounterTack has raised $15 million in a recent Series C funding round from multiple investors, including TenEleven Ventures and EDBI.
