Navy Orders $78M in Insitu Blackjack UAS

RQ-21A-BlackjackInsitu has received a $78 million contract modification to produce a new batch of Blackjack unmanned aircraft systems for the U.S. Navy.

The Boeing (NYSE: BA) company will also deliver air vehicles, ground control stations, launch and recovery equipment and spares under the contract, the Defense Department said Friday.

Insitu will perform the contract work through September 2016.
