Microsoft, USDA Launch Food Data Analysis Tools Challenge

field agriculture food supply ryeTYSONS CORNER, VA July 29, 2015 — Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has launched a contest that challenges participants to design a data analysis tool that could be  used to help design national agriculture and food supply resiliency programs, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The $60, 000 Innovation Challenge will make available Microsoft Azure-hosted datasets compiled by the Agriculture Department from various sources for the past 100 years, USDA said Friday.
